In Frida Kahlo’s career, more than a third of her 143 paintings are self-portraits; her self-portraits often include interpretations of physical and psychological traumas; symbolic creatures were used to express her feelings.
“I paint myself . . . because I am the subject I know best.” ~Frida Kahlo
Join me in a day long exploration where you will be guided through a visionary journey connecting with your inner Frida. Let’s see if we can “paint whatever passes through [your] head without any other consideration” and hopefully gain insight into your own lives.
As Frida said: “I am my own muse, I am the subject I know best. The subject I want to know better.”
At the end of workshop, you’ll go home with your own original painting accessed directly from your own inner guidance system. You’ll paint a portrayal of your own unique journey on the canvas with acrylic paint using the Color of Women step-by-step painting method.
